| Description: |
Reporting to the Chief of Research, the incumbent will be responsible for the acquisition, installation, repairs and maintenance of laboratory equipment and plants including;
- Formulating and enforcing laboratory equipment operating standards
- Ensuring proper maintenance of all laboratory and related equipment
- Perform minor repairs on broken down equipment
- Training users on equipment operations and simple routine maintenance procedures
- Operate the Institute’s flow cytometer including daily
- Calibrations & quality assurance, guiding the users on basic operations.

Requirements for Appointment
- A bachelors degree in Biomedical engineering or a Higher National Diploma in a relevant field
- Three years experience in maintaining laboratory or hospital equipment preferably in a research set-up
- Knowledgeable of all aspects of equipment management and maintenance
- Have knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of flow cytometers
