- Applicants must have form IV Certificate and Trade test grade II from a recognized institution
- Age should not exceed 45 years for new entrants into the public service

- Prospective applicants who are employed in the Public Service should route their applications through their employers
- Applicants who have/were retired from the Public Service for whatever reason should not apply
